In the shelf industry, the most important thing is not only the production of the shelf and whether the structure of the shelf is stable, but also the installation design during use and whether the shelf is used properly. Its own stability and security have always been the most concerned things for customers. In order to enhance the stability and durability of warehouse shelves, there are mainly two aspects:
The stability of the warehouse shelf itself:
According to the experience of rack manufacturers, the stability of the warehouse rack itself is mainly the stability of the columns and the stability of the columns and beams.
The stability of the column itself mainly depends on the column tie rods, which is an important link in the design of warehouse shelves. The stability of the tie rod is improved by the triangular stability principle. According to the height of the shelf, determine how many stay cables and tie rods there are.
There are two main ways to connect beams and columns:
(1) The first method is to connect with bolts. Due to the trouble and inconvenience of installation, this kind of connection is rarely used in warehouse shelves nowadays, and it is mainly used in early angle steel shelves.
(2) Connected to the upright column by welding column clamps on the beam. At present, the commonly used column clamps include inverted eight-shaped holes, butterfly holes, trapezoidal holes and diamond holes. The stability of each column card is basically the same, and it can be selected according to the customer’s preference.
Stability between warehouse shelves and the ground
The stability between warehouse shelves and the ground is mainly reflected in heavy shelves. The shelf manufacturer explained that since shelves generally store heavy goods, heavy shelves are prone to dumping hazards. So it must be fixed. There is a foot with a hole at the bottom of the column of the heavy shelf, and the shelf is fixed to the ground with expansion bolts.
If the height of the warehouse shelf reaches a certain height, you can also use the connecting rod to connect the column to the wall, which can further increase the stability and safety of the shelf. In some environments where forklifts are required, it is also necessary to install shelf foot guards or crash barriers to prevent the shelves from tipping over due to collisions with forklifts.
